Rift.... is terrible. got into the beta, and the game is so bad i stopped playing after getting level 4. its boring, inane, and the gameplay sucks complete balls. dont waste your time.

oh, also... helenae hasnt talked to me about any of it for a while but all the guys i currently game with are wanting to play sith, so were kinda thinking of heading that direction at the moment. got about... 5-6 people here who are really interested, but i know valadil wont be playing much due to his work schedule. also, we do haz a vent atm if anyone wants to hop in, just PM me and ill shoot it back to you.

Lol all games are fucking terrible up to lvl 4. Im in the 3rd and 4th beta and its just something to kill time.

The gameplay is fun but it is a hardcore casual game. I dont think it will be anything more then a game I play to occupie my boredom with eq because eq sucks outside of raids.

I haven't played the beta, so i'm pretty in the dark about rift but from all the reading i've done on it, the only thing that really interested me was the massive amount of character customization. Which to me looked cool in theory but having not played the game, for all I know it was executed like crap. I ma check it out one day but i'm not jumping on board at launch, that's for sure.

Does seem more casual but the hardcore group and raid content is hard as all hell. I actually played content at the level cap so I actually know what I'm talking about.

At best SWTOR will fit the loosest definiton of MMORPG. It will be online. it will have the capacity to have lots of people online at the same time. It will be an RPG. But its more or less going to be SWTOR 2 with overall updates and an online aspect you pay a sub for. its only a MMORPG to hop on the MMO bandwagon and enjoy the inherent anti-piracy systems that come with a MMO.

okay, enough rift. suffice to say i think it blows. if you want an enumerated list... i could do that too.

those who are interested in Swtor is mainly what i was taking stock of. and while im not averse to the newer members sharing their opinions or insights (or lack thereof) this thread was mainly for those who i used to play with.
